The Million Random Projects
Not literally a million. But every one of these existed to solve a real problem, win a real campaign, or make one specific person laugh. The big ongoing ones — Tonight, Ghost Bike, Helm / Compass, and Bounty Board — have their own pages. This is everything else.

SpongeBob & Patrick
Halloween 2021Matching costumes for my son and me, built from scratch for a costume party. Step one was walking into a Joann Fabrics and asking the staff for five yards of pink felt, while the tiny old grandmas in the notions aisle quietly wondered what I was up to. Worth it.

Campaign Logistics
RCV 2020 campaignThe yard-sign problem: hundreds of volunteers across Massachusetts, thousands of signs, no way to match them up. I designed, built, and deployed a distribution tool in under a week that let volunteers claim and deliver signs near them — and quadrupled our delivery rate.

Signature Tracking
RCV 2020 campaignWhen COVID hit mid-petition-drive, signatures went digital. This tool interfaced with DocuSign and VAN to collect and match ballot petition signatures — 100K+ signatures across 10K+ forms — with live stats on a dashboard so the campaign always knew where it stood. Code.
-
COVID Tracker
2020–2021At the start of the pandemic, infection data wasn't available in the format I wanted — per-capita rates, mapped — so I built my own dashboard with Python and the Google Sheets API on top of covidtracking.com's data. Retired when the source data stopped updating in March 2021. Code.
-
Backpack Sign Mount
campaign trailA rig that let a canvasser carry a stack of yard signs on their back and swap the displayed one in seconds, hands free. Extremely niche. Extremely useful for the three months it mattered.
-
Simple Backup
utilityA script that backs up data to Google Drive every day, because "I'll back it up manually" is a lie we all tell ourselves. Code.
-
Visualize It
RCV 2020 campaignAn animation, built with Python's Turtle module of all things, that plotted where petition signatures came from across the state. Equal parts data viz and screensaver.
-
Relay Race
day jobA scanner tool for NX lighting control systems — one of the utilities I've built to make my day job faster. Code.
-
RCV Talk
League of Women Voters · 2019A public talk on how Ranked Choice Voting works — RCV 101, given at the Cape Cod Community Media Center with the League of Women Voters of Cape Cod. Watch the talk.

3D Printing
ongoingCAD design and FDM printing — the enabling technology behind half the contraptions on this page. If a part doesn't exist, that's just a part that hasn't been drawn yet.
